Jets update: Winnipeg is still atop the NHL at 23-10-1, but the Jets have been up and down lately. They’re 5-4-1 in their past 10 games and coming off a loss to the lowly Ducks on Wednesday. Still, they’re strong at home (11-3-1) and against the Central Division (8-3). G Connor Hellebuyck is 20-5-1 with a 2.15 goals-against average and .926 save percentage. Winnipeg has won seven in a row vs. the Wild and eight of the past 10.
Injuries: Wild LW Jakub Lauko (lower body), G Filip Gustavsson (lower body) and D Jake Middleton (upper body) are out. C Joel Eriksson Ek (lower body) and RW Yakov Trenin (upper body) have skated but are on injured reserve. Jets C David Gustafsson (concussion), D Dylan Samberg (foot) and D Logan Stanley (foot) are out.
Minnesota hadn’t even lost two straight until this homestand, when it went 1-4. Next up in a tough stretch is league-leading Winnipeg on Saturday.
