GLENDALE, Ariz. — Sam Darnold and the Vikings’ dream season came to an abrupt end Monday night with a 27-9 loss to the Los Angeles Rams in the first round of the NFL playoffs. The Rams were the home team at the home stadium of the Arizona Cardinals after the NFL moved the game to Arizona because of the deadly wildfires in the Los Angeles area. The Rams rolled down the field on their opening drive and never looked back, sacking Darnold nine times to tie an NFL playoff record.
