Minneapolis police searched Saturday for a suspect in the fatal shooting of a 21-year-old man Friday evening on the city’s North Side.

According to a news release, officers responding to a ShotSpotter report of gunfire found the wounded victim around 6:20 p.m. in the 3200 block of Fremont Avenue N.
The man was rushed to North Memorial Health Hospital, where he died. His name was expected to be released after an autopsy by the Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office
“Our investigators will work tirelessly to try and find answers about what happened to this man for his family,” Police Chief Brian O’Hara said in the release.
